Arcus was invited to develop an economic development strategy for a municipal government. The project included several phases- stakeholder research, analysis of best practices worldwide, brand positioning and a marketing strategy.
The challenge was to develop a growth strategy based on core strengths and benefits to attract business from the US and Canada.
The turning point was identifying core industries and talent pools that could be tapped into to offer substantial value to specific corporations and industry segments. The economic promotion strategy enabled the city to focus its resources on fewer areas for a substantial ROI. In addition, alignment of marketing, branding and growth strategies enabled the city to communicate a consistent message at all touch points with the target audience.
